Notes: This is a dark smelt imitation with lots red mixed in. It is a great trolling fly when tied in larger sizes and also perfect for casting in smaller sizes, 4-8. The belly of the fly is comprised of three colors, white, red and lilac, and when drawn through the water produce a cool effect. The lilac tied nearest the body blends seamlessly into the outer purple wing. The white bucktail forms the belly and the mid-line of red suggests a wounded prey item.
